Departing from its base in Cyprus in early 2025, this specially designed semi-submersible vessel is equipped with the latest in communications technology. Real-time data from its engines, navigation systems, and personal health monitors will be transmitted to universities and third parties for monitoring and evaluation. This enables students and researchers to engage with cutting-edge technology and gain valuable insights into maritime engineering, navigation, and environmental science. Additionally, onboard CCTV will share the experience with a wider audience, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of maritime innovation. A new eco-friendly fuel will also be tested, contributing to important research on reducing emissions and meeting global clean air targets.
