Yesterday marked an important milestone for the Spirit of Challenge as we hosted a planning exercise and walk-around to discuss the necessary preparations for the upcoming insurance survey.
This crucial step is part of our preparation for the boat’s circumnavigation and world record attempt.
We were pleased to welcome Elliott Berry our Surveyor from UK Marine Services and Marsurv Marine Surveyors & Consultants, aboard the Spirit of Challenge. The meeting aimed to ensure that all necessary tasks are completed ahead of the out-of-water survey scheduled to take place in a few weeks. This survey is vital for securing insurance and marking the commencement of our sea trials.
Elliott was extremely impressed with the progress made since their last visit. Their positive feedback is evidence to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in Project Full Circle. During the visit, we discussed the upcoming preparations, reviewed the boat’s current state, and outlined the next steps needed to ensure everything is in top condition.
